Before and After Care for Eyeliner

For Eyeliner:

Before your appointment:

Please try to avoid taking medication the day of your appointment as it can interfere with the anesthetics and thin the blood. Please arrive at your appointment with your make up applied they way you like it.

Day 1-3:

Treated area looks thick and too dark. This is due to the pigment crust / scab formation. All colours scab 50% darker and thicker. Your result will fade with 50% within the first 3-5 days.

Apply a THIN layer of BACITRACIN to treated area in morning & evening with an ear bud for 3 days only. Keep area moist with Vaseline/ Vit A & D ointment / preparation H, you will start applying any one of these moisturizers immediately after your procedure.

DO NOT APPLY Bactroban or Zambuk as this will draw out the ink. Anti-inflammatory tablets / painkillers can be taken to subside burn sensation. 2 x Arnica homeopathic tablets can be chewed every 2 hrs to reduce swelling and bruising (if any).

Wash your face as normal but around treated area, Do not wash the treated area with soap or chemicals. Pat dry. No rubbing. The less you agitate the treated area, the better result you will have.

Ignore any yellow/mustard/green/ pink undertones in first 5 days. These are pigment toners/stabilizers that will disappear after scabs have shed. Make-up can be applied over treated area after 8 hours to soften the appearance. Remove make up with Vaseline.

Day 3-5:

Scabs / crusts may start to detach/flake. Colour will look very light & uneven. This is normal. You have 7 layers of skin, and it takes 6-8 weeks for all the colour to surface through the 7 layers and become complete and even everywhere. Do not pick off the scabs. Let it heal on its own. Picking may lead to fading. Touch ups are an additional fee of R400 and is a MUST after 3 weeks.
